Muay Thai and boxing seminars are usually found through public event listings, gym social pages and visiting coach announcements. If you want a cleaner starting point, use Find Events and filter for seminars or striking events near you.

Striking seminars can be valuable for complete beginners, active fighters and coaches, but the right seminar depends on the topic, intensity and instructor.

What striking seminars offer

A Muay Thai seminar might focus on clinch, elbows, knees, scoring, pad work or traditional Thai training methods. A boxing seminar might focus on footwork, defence, combinations, counter-punching or coaching pads. Some visiting coaches bring a very specific style that students would not otherwise experience.

The best seminars are focused. "Two hours on clinch entries" is usually more useful than a vague session trying to cover everything.

How to find them

Start with Blue6 Find Events, then follow local boxing and Muay Thai gyms. Visiting Thai coaches, former fighters and specialist boxing coaches often announce seminars through host gyms and their own social channels.

If you are open to other disciplines too, see how to find martial arts seminars near you.

Skill-level expectations

Some seminars are beginner-friendly and focus on fundamentals. Others assume you can already hold pads, move safely and understand basic defensive responsibility. If you are unsure, ask the organiser before booking.

For competitors, check whether sparring or contact drills are included. For recreational students, check whether the session is technical rather than fight-team only.

What to bring

Bring hand wraps, gloves, water and comfortable training kit. Depending on the topic, you may need shin guards, gumshield, groin guard, headguard or Thai pads. If it is a boxing-only seminar, boxing gloves and wraps may be enough. If it is Muay Thai clinch, expect close contact and bring spare tops if useful.

Arrive early enough to wrap your hands and warm up properly. Visiting coaches often start on time because they have a lot to cover.

Booking and hosting

Use the official event page or booking link so your place is confirmed. Seminars can have strict capacity limits, especially in smaller gyms. If you are hosting one, make sure the instructor, topic, level, equipment and booking process are clear.

The organiser-side process is covered in how to run a martial arts seminar.

How Blue6 helps

Blue6 helps clubs publish seminars as public, searchable events. Practitioners can find Muay Thai and boxing seminars near them, check the event page and book through the organiser's chosen route.
